ABOUT UNISA
 
:: The University of South Australia was founded in 1991.
:: With an annual turnover of about $350 million UniSA is an innovative, modern university dedicated to quality research and teaching.
:: It offers almost 400 degree programs from diploma to postgraduate level.
:: It has four divisions - Health Sciences; Education, Arts and Social Sciences; Information Technology Engineering and the Environment; and Business.
:: The University has six research institutes and is a partner in 13 national Cooperative Research Centres.
:: Since 2000 UniSA has won more than $100 million in research funding and in 2006 was the highest ranked Australian university for industry-sponsored research through the Australian Research Council.
:: UniSA’s student population is about 33,000.
:: UniSA is one of the state’s largest employers with more than 3000 staff.
:: UniSA has four metropolitan campuses – City West, City East, Mawson Lakes, Magill - and a campus in Whyalla. It also offers programs in Mt Gambier.
:: UniSA has the largest international university student population in South Australia with about 3000 students studying in Adelaide and more than 7000 studying UniSA programs delivered in their own countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.
:: It is the only University in South Australia offering degree programs in Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Podiatry, Medical Radiation, Civil Aviation, Journalism, Property, Human Movement and Construction Management.
:: The Vice Chancellor is Professor Peter Høj and the Chancellor is Dr Ian Gould.
